As Director, Ana oversees the day-to-day activities of our legal program. Ana works closely with the San Francisco Immigrant Legal and Education Network (SFILEN) and the San Francisco Immigrant Legal Defense Collaborative (SFILDC) to develop and coordinate legal services for local residents facing deportation and immigration detention. She also assists and represents local low-income individuals and families in removal proceedings. Ana received her law degree from the UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. During law school, Ana was a member of the International Human Rights Law Clinic and clerked with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division.

Ana speaks English and Spanish. Ana is licensed to practice law in California, as well as before immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals nationwide.
